I recently signed up for DSL Fast Access (Westell DSL Modem) through Bell South. I have a Sharp UX-510A Fax & Copy Machine and of course lots of extensions as well as an answering machine.
Ever since getting DSL on my computer, I have had to unplug my phone line going to the wall in order to send & receive Fax's. I could not sign onto the internet if I used a two way phone adapter and have both DSL & FAX, Copy machine plugged in. I had to unplug one or the other from the wall in order to sign onto the internet or to use my fax machine...
But now I have the Stick and it works just like it is supposed to!
Voice calls ring all my phones or my answering machine if I am not home, fax calls automatically go to my Fax Copy Machine, and I can use the Internet at the same time. How come Bell South didn't install the Stick when they installed the DSL is beyond me. The Stick is really what everyone with DSL and a fax needs. You should contact Bell South and sell them The Stick.
Also, thanks for the advice on how to plug everything in. It was great to talk to a human instead of a machine when I called tech support. Jeremy was very sweet and funny too. The simple diagram he emailed me was just what I needed.
I still can't believe how easy it was ti install. It took me more time (about three minutes) to unplug all the filters at each of the phones since I only needed one filter instead of one at every jack, that it took to plug The Stick in (less than a minute). I am not very good with computers so I really appreciate how easy it was to set up (just plug in three cords and the wall outlet.)
